TITANS Preview & Donna's Fashion Disaster
Here's an ad that ran in this week's CHECKMATE. Great picture... but, I officially hate Donna's costume. I liked both of Phil Jimenez's Troia costumes, incorporating the Titans of Myth starfield with her former Wonder Girl costumes. The red stars on black? Ugh, very bland. I miss her old starfield costume already ... The black and silver was a great, unique look for Donna....

I think that Donna has such a spotty history and origin that they may want to play up her mysterious qualities with that costume choice. My thoughts: Sexy!

The red stars are really too weird (hate that), silver was millions times better.
The captions make me miss the "Changeling" and "Arsenal" names - yeah, still haven't moved on from that.

I didnt like Donnas costume!
I liked Gars costume!
The Korys hair is wrong and she appear fat...
But I like Churchill... And I cant wait to this serie...

I agree, Starfire's face looks completely wrong in the artwork. The hair is wrong, plus the artist seems to have given her irises in her eyes.
And the stars need to go for Donna. Still don't know why they moved away from the silver.

Gar is in his Changeling uniform as he should be. Now he just needs to get the right name back.
They are trying to point out that Donna is "Wonder Girl all grown up" which I can live with. I'm not thrilled with the costume either, but if that was the only thing wrong with the Titans in the DCU these days, I'd roll with the punch.
None of the characters looks too happy; they probably heard who's writing them.
I wish them the best of luck, they'll need it; but I won't be buying the book.

Nah, Gar was fine in his purple suit, I think anyway. I always thought he looked weird in red and white...Starfire, I agree, looks very odd. Donna is fine in my opinion.

Well, if this is supposed to be a return to the classic Titans roster, Gar should be Changeling, and not Beast Boy.
I think his character is around 21 now, so you probably shouldn't call a 21-year-old "Boy" anymore.

I don't want a return to the "old" Teen Titans. Instead, I'd rather they build from the old template, and make the Titans new and fresh (which it seems their doing).

Not the most impressive piece of art, but I'm excited for this series despite myself. I'm not that big a Winnick fan, but I have liked some of his stuff ( first 25 or so issues of his GL run namely) Also, I think this title has the power to outgrow his writing.

Donna's costume is simply hideous. NO reason to move away from the black and silver starfield design. If it's been dictated that she has to go back to her Wonder Girl look, then she should do just that- wear the red and gold jumpsuit. I'd be fine with that. But this black and red thing? Never. No way. Horrid. How that ever got approval is beyond me. NO style sense, artistically or fashion-wise.
And no, I won't apologize for being bitter about this. It's change for the sake of change. How about we just put Nightwing in a black and brown costume with a tit window and illuminated cod piece? That would make just as much sense.

Not the point of what anyone here is saying. And creative complaints are the norm for fanboys. It's part of the fun.
Personally, I'm hoping the preview art is wrong. I'm looking forward to this title...but if I don't like the art it's off my pull list. This is a visual medium, after all, and if I can't bear to look at the page I'm not wasting my money.

Since Final Crissis is all about "The New Guard" of hero's you can bet that the next "Titans" book will be exactly that.

I liked the starfield pattern better. If, however, they just need her in something a little closer to her Classic costume, then either go back to the original red-yellow scheme or make those red stars silver. The silver and black hurts my eyes.

I don't like Donna's outfit. The starfield costume separated her from just being the former Wonder Girl..or Diana's little sister. It gave her a new identity without being in the shadow of any other characters. They definitely need to change that back.
