Fan Expo: DC Nation Panel

From Comic Book Resources: Dan Didio holding court at Fan Expo in Toronto Canada on Friday. Two noteworthy quotes that stood out to me...

Regarding the death of Hawkman and Hawkgirl in the final pages of the first issues, panelists felt their deaths set a strong precedence for things to come. “We thought that was really interesting, we had a lot of fun with it,” DiDio said “I guess that sounds weird, we’re having fun killing people, but it’s been part of our M.O. for awhile.”

No kidding. Just ask the Titans. And...

On to Wonder Woman, what’s happening? Responding to a fan that was promised a year ago readers would be seeing more of the iconic female. “Well, we cut the top a little lower.” DiDio joked. A lengthy laugh from the crowd ensued.

Way to respect your premiere heroine! Yay, objectification?

Will there be a decent DC character left! They seem to be killing off all my favorites! First Aquaman, then the Hawks! If they decide to kill off Zatanna, then I think that my respect for DC will be dead with them.

Gah. Sometimes I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but when he acts like some sexist Marvel staffer in his comments...blech. I lose respect.

(We having fun killing people. Its part of our MO for a while.) How did he ever get a job as Editor and Chief at DC?
