THE FLASH: REBIRTH #1
Written by Geoff Johns Art and covers by Ethan Van Sciver Through the decades, many heroes have taken the mantle of The Flash, but they all ride the lightning that crackles in the wake of the greatest hero the DC Universe has ever known, the man who sacrificed himself to save the Multiverse: Barry Allen!

Following the events of FINAL CRISIS, Barry has beaten death and returned to a fast-paced world that a man out of time wouldn’t recognize. Or is it a world that is only just now catching up? All the running he’s done before was just a warmup for the high-speed race that he and every other Flash must now run, because even though one speedster might have beaten death, another has just turned up dead! From Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver, the visionaries responsible for the blockbuster GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH and THE SINESTRO CORPS WAR, comes the start of an explosive and jaw-dropping epic that will reintroduce to the modern age the hero who single-handedly birthed the Silver Age of comics! DC history will be made, and the Flash legacy will be redefined!

I'm in favor of Aquagirl in the Teen Titans! I'm also excited about Static.

But who is the Flash kid? Is that Bart?

I assumed it was Red Devil, for some reason turned back into a human, but that does look kinda like a lightning symbol on his sleeve. Hm.

When McKeever said the new artist was an obvious choice I figured he meant Bennett. I'll miss Barrows, but Bennett's pretty good too.

I don't get it--issue #69 has Red Devil on the cover. Who's the guy on the far right??

I don't think the guy on the far right is a Kid Flash, new or old. I kind of thought it was Red Devil without his powers, or a new Speedy without the bow and arrows (I mean, look at the gloves. They look like something an archer would wear).

    sigh...Miss Martian again?

Yeah I thought that was Bart at first, but he doesn't have orange hair. Hey maybe it's the much talked about costume redesign for Wally! Or maybe the much demanded return of Omen, as a guy, Kid Omen! Or Danny Chase, back at long last! Anything goes these days at DC.

i really dont like the idea of having to pick up two extra books to get one storyline

The more I see Cassie's new costume, the more I realize that she really needs bracelets. There's so much Amazon training using them, she would be at a disadvantage without them. I'm sure they'll be back eventually...

And I, too, think that's Eddie on the far right. The skinny bird legs helped me come to that conclusion somehow.

I think that guy on the right is Kid Flash (Bart Allen). I mean, he looks JUST LIKE the Bart Allen who appeared in SMALLVILLE. The red hoodie jacket with a lightning bolt is very reminiscent of the TV show's version of Impulse. And I don't think the hair is red. I think its a light brownish color. The color on the preview art is always kinda crummy.

But if he's back... where's Red Devil? I thought they promised they weren't going to keep changing the roster every other issue like before. I mean we already lost Robin. Do we need to lose Red Devil too, right after he started becoming fun again?

I'm glad to see Aquagirl, since she hasn't gotten any attention in a while.

I still wish Tim would come back as Robin.

And the Flash Rebirth... god, why can't they jet let people DIE, particularly when their deaths actually MEANT something?

That kid isnt Inertia is it? Wasn;t he supposed to become the mnew Kid Flash?

On the interlocking covers it looks like the logo is a bull or a face with two horns. Its hard to tell because the bullseye is lying over it but it appears to be Red Devil logo.
