NY Comic Con Lookin' Good!
OK -- comic fans in the Manhattan area have been wondering why there isn't a big, well-run convention in the city that never sleeps? It's probably been almost 10 years since major publishers like Marvel & DC attended a NYC Convention. Well, that looks like it's about to change! Reed Exhibitions is hosting a New York Comic Con Feb. 24-26, 2006, at the Jacob Javits Center. And it looks to be developing into a major, major show!
Both Marvel & DC will be there. Plus, special guests Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Brad Meltzer, and Joe Quesada. And The Artist Alley is filling up with some awesome talent like Ale Garza, Andy MacDonald, Chris Batista, Dale Eaglesham, Dave Gibbons, David Finch, Dick Giordano, Greg Horn, Howard Porter, Ian Churchill, John Romita Jr, John Romita Sr, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, Keven Maguire, Kevin Nolan, Mark Bagley, Marshall Rogers, Mike Lilly, Olivier Coipel, Phil Jimenez, Rags Morales, Ron Garney, Ron Lim, Scott Hanna, Steve McNiven, Steve Sadowski, Tom Raney.
