Teen Titans in November

TEEN TITANS #41

Written by Geoff Johns; Art by Tony Daniel and Kevin Conrad; Cover by Daniel. The explosive "Titans Around the World" story concludes with the team finding Raven! Will she bring back a Titan who died?

On Sale November 8, 2006 - see the cover here

Let me go on record: I hope that Raven brings back Lilith from the dead. The super-cool psychic go-go dancer needs to live again. Out of all the dead Titans, Lilith's death was the most pointless. Once a bright character with lots of potential, her Q-rating plummeted when she became Omen - in effect, making her a poor man's Raven. Worse yet, the identity of Lilith's mother was never revealed!

No offense to Lilith fans, but I think Raven should revive Phantasm. The Titans need a member with psychic powers.

Hopefully Lilith and Jericho I mean the cover does have two black spaces right?

At this point I don't think she's going to revive anybody. Sure, Tim and Cassie would be happy if she revived Conner, but would that be fair to Red Star who just lost his entire family? But if you revived Pantha or Baby Wildebeest would that be fair to Superboy, who selflessly sacrificed his life for the world? And at the same time, I'm sure Raven would like to restore her mother (Arella) to life...Hell, if Donna hadn't been brought back to life I'm sure Cassie would never have been able to choose between reviving Donna Troy or Conner (at least you'd think so). Come to think of it, wouldn't Tim want to revive his father, perhaps even over Conner? and of course there's Titans like Lilith, Kole, Aquagirl, and even Gnnark that other Titans loved dearly and would love to see back. I don't think Raven of all people will be able to make a decision. Of course, it makes for an excellent story.

as for the ghost spots, the female one is Miss Martian without a doubt. The sillouhette fits her perfectly--look at the other cover.

The other shadow has me stumped. I'm hoping for Red Star, but it doesn't fit him properly--but neither does it fit Zatara, Superboy or even Jericho 100%

    Johns, you rock.

The two shadows: One is definitely Miss Martian, the other one is Bart Allen, now the current Flash. It fits the shadow perfectly.

Lilith would be a good revival - besides what you pointed out, you could pin down her powers better this time (like limit them to some precog/medium work and add telepathy) and maybe give her more to do than simply look for her mother. Maybe a close friendship or rivalry to Raven?

Heck, you could have the resurrection come out in a completely unexpected way. Like whoever they revive comes back as a baby to get a true fresh start or something else odd.

I will say that the one Titan I wouldn't want to see back is Superboy, mostly because he died at peace with himself and what he had done. He'd proven to the himself and the world that free will trumps any amount of genetic engineering and showed absolutely no signs of regretting his desicion.

The two shadow figues are probably Miss Martian and either the new Flash or Red Star, since he's featured in this story arc.

Anyway, as for ressurections, I think that Geoff should finally be the one to finally resolve the whole Kole issue.

But hey, if he brings back Lilith/Omen, I'll still be happy. I liked her a lot too.

As to the second shadow, i think its got to be Molecule. Note the collar. None of the other members speculated over have a collar like that.
Also, notice how prominently Molecule is featured in the story "A TITAN OF AN ARTIST: TONY DANIEL TALKS TEEN TITANS by Vaneta Rogers" The story
is a few links above on this [excellent] blog.
I have no idea who Molecule is, but it would also preserve a ballance Johns has going on. ie:
2 members from the wolfman / perez era
    2 members from young justice
    2 from issue 34
2 new, never used before members.
This whole line-up re-vamp seems to be about not getting too caught up in the past, and so i don't think Geoff is going to revive a past character for that final shadow.

Thanks for remembering Lilith Clay. Even I'd almost forgotten about her. The whole Graduation Day mini was just a precursor for DC's current obsession with killing off characters who pose no obstacle to anyone. It's a good thing that the website of Girl-Wonder was put together as a way of protesting a lot of these discriminations against female characters too. Dan DiDio and company need to be reined in.
