SDCC 2007: Sean McKeever

One of the highlights of San Diego was meeting Sean McKeever. I've been enjoying his work on SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE, and I think he's the perfect writer for TEEN TITANS!

It sounds like he's going to really explore the characters, which should be a lot of fun. He said he has no plans to change the line-up anytime soon, and that he's happy to use the current team members. He does plan to have a number of Teen Heroes drop by in the book... awhile back, Sean solicited fan opinions on ComicBloc as to which teen heroes they'd like to see; He mentioned that thread gave him some ideas. (Black Alice fans should be happy).

Sean also said he wants to get into the personal lives of the team members more - especially Ravager, Kid Devil and Miss Martian. He also mentioned he liked the interplay between Eddie and Rose, and he'd be exploring that relationship. Would that be a ROMANTIC relationship? Sean cagily refused to answer that one! But there is a scene in Teen Titans #50 that should interest fans of Rose & Eddie.

Sean also wasn't initially aware of the Rose/Bart relationship in the New Titans series, but mentioned he became aware of it on a ComicBloc thread. See? It helps to post on message boards!

It was great chatting with Sean and I can't wait to see what he has in store for the Titans!
