WriterS on TITANS
Newsarama reports, in Dan Didio's 20 Answers:
12) It’s been reported that Judd won’t be writing Titans after the “Deathtrap” crossover concludes – who will be taking over the writing on that series?
DD: That will be announced at a later date, but I can guarantee you that there will be writers on Titans following Judd Winick’s departure.
Hmmm. WriterS. Plural. Wonder if that means co-writers (like Jimmy Palmiotti & Justin Gray) -- or a fill-in writer for a story arc, followed by a regular fulltime writer?

Well, I hope whoever does the writing can take this book in a much needed new direction. As much as I like these characters, it seems like they are lost. They aren't the Teen Titans, they aren't the JLA, or Outsiders, or anything else. It's like DC is saying, hey the classic New Teen Titans line-up, what's not to love? They've been through so much it feels forced. Give the Titans a real purpose, shake up the membership a bit (I really think Donna and Victor should graduate to the JLA) and stop rehashing the same stories. Raven has been screwed with enough!

The fans want it both ways. They claim they want "new directions" for the titans, but when someone comes along and actually tries to give them a new direction (like Geoff did with Raven), those same fans bitch and moan about how dare DC crap on their favorites and how the writers just don't "get" it. I'm tired of it.
No matter which writer you stick in there, no one will be satisfied.
