Behind the Scenes of Teen Titans Go!
Here's what Phillip Hayes of Paperback Reader recently said of TEEN TITANS GO DIGEST VOLUME 3: "...One of the best things about this book is the fact each story is self contained which is rare in comics these days... The characters are dead on thanks to J. Torres. You can tell he not only has fun writing this comic but he knows what he is doing. He makes you feel like these are the same Titans you watch on TV..." If you haven't checked out the comic, do yourself a favor!

Sneak Peek Kid Flash!
Kid Flash Offers New Perspective in "Lightspeed"
Which Kid Flash will be featured in the episode? An insider reveals that unlike Robin, it should be "fairly obvious" who is under the mask this time! You can do your Kid Flash homework and visit the Kid Flash [Wally West] page and the Kid Flash II [Bart Allen] page to start your own theories.
Here's how the network describes the episode: "With Titans dispatched across the globe, members of the Hive Five figure they have it made. Unfortunately their city-wide crime spree is cut short when a new hero in town spoils the fun. Handing him over to the Brotherhood of Evil may score the Hive Five points, but actually catching this lightning-fast do-gooder is much harder than it seems." Lightspeed airs December 3rd. Look for more on this episode later this week!

Cartoon Network Officially Passes On Season Six
But that doesn't mean our campaign should end. Actually, it should be accelerated. Chances are, the letters that have been sent so far may not have made an impact... Yet. Keep writing. Keep sending. Shows like Kim Possible and Family Guy have been brought back after their 'official' cancellations.
Don't let this news discourage you from writing. As a matter of fact, it's more important than ever to get those letters in! Titans Fans, Go! Save Season Six!

Teen Titans: The Complete First Season Details

Warner Bros. has made an official announcement concerning the release of Teen Titans: The Complete First Season DVD set. The set with contain two discs containing all 13 season one episodes. The set will be packaged in a more durable amaray case, rather than the much-hated snapper case. The packaging reflects the more recent packaged sets - such as "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Superman: The Animated Series."
No extras are listed yet. Stay tuned for more information on that. The set hits stores February 7, 2005. The price? Only $19.98 SRP. For a larger cover image, click here.

Save Season Six: Update
I've created a brand new Save Season Six Page. Please link to it and feel free to use one of the banner links to the page I've provided. I also added a campaign letter - so people can sign and send very simply! The best bet is to start a letter writing campaign with individual heartfelt letters stating you would like the show to continue. MAKE SURE TO PUT "SAVE TEEN TITANS!" BIG AND BOLD ON THE OUTSIDE ENVELOPE!
I'm going to see if there is someone in programming we should contact directly. Keep the faith: Shows like Kim Possible have been saved by fan outrage at early cancellation. Spread the word and tell your friends. Titans Fans - Go!
Teen Titans DVD Season Sets Coming
Look for this to arrive in stores on February 7th. The cost will be $19.98 SRP for a single disc (possibly double-sided? We're not sure) that will contain all 13 episodes. It's a bummer to re-buy season one, but it's great that Warner Bros. FINALLY sees the market for season sets.

Teen Titans' Sixth Season Looks Unlikely
If you feel there are more Titans stories to be told, let Cartoon Network know how you feel. Snail mail is the most effective way. Scores of individual letters have the most impact; Petitions are generally worthless in networks' eyes. The best bet is to start a letter writing campaign with individual heartfelt letters stating you would like the show to continue.

DC February Solicits Are Up
Infinite Crisis looks earth-shattering. The Teen Titans Annual looks interesting. Ed Benes MUST do more Titans work... that cover is gorgeous. It will also be great to see Marv Wolfman's retake of the Teen Titans, as he co-writes the Annual and Teen Titans #33 featuring Nightwing.
Sidebar: Is February the unofficial hero vs hero month? Earth-One Superman vs. Earth-Two Superman. Batman vs. Green Lantern. Superman vs. Supergirl. Batman vs. Green Arrow. Wonder Woman vs. Flash. What's with the growing trend of heroes fighting each other when -- y'know -- there's villains out there...? Don't these guys know there's a major-mojo Crisis going on?
The Titans Companion Rescheduled
will be on sale is December 14th. The book was a little delayed with some last-minute changes. The good news is: It makes a great Christmas gift! I think the book may also be getting some internet press soon; I'll keep y'all posted!

Justice League and Batman Beyond DVD Hope
Although the site cautions that this is a "rumor mill" post only, it does seem promising. I would guess that DVD sets of BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES and SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES have sold well enough. Fans of Bruce Timm's animated interpretations of the DCU characters have been thunderstruck at Warner Home Video's marketing of their animated-action stable. Single-disk releases. Poor packaging. A disgraceful "3 episodes" per disk. Looks like they are finally listening!
On a sidenote, JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED has been amazing the last two seasons. It certainly deserves a lavish DVD treatment. Here's hoping for commentaries and extras!
"Hide And Seek " Episode Details
The episode features the debut of two character created specifically for the animated series: Timmy Tantrum and Melvin. This one's written by Amy Wolfram ["Terra", "Betrothed" and "Kole" among others]. Look for Simpsons' voice actor Russi Taylor [Martin Prince] as Timmy Tantrum/Melvin. Taylor is also the modern voice actor for Mickey Mouse.
Check out the Titanstower.com Animated Site for much, much more!
New Titans Title Fast-Tracked
Didio does offer a hint about a new Titans series in the works. A fan asks: "Q: Which new title would DC consider most of the following - Post Infinite Crisis: 1) Titans East 2) All Star Titans 3) Titans Classified 4) Superboy Solo Title" To which Didio replied, "I would consider one of these a priority."
Hmm-- here's hoping for TITANS EAST or TITANS CLASSIFIED. I just hope there's some A-list talent behind whatever's planned!
New Blood In Bludhaven
"The writer did say that - as far as she knew - there would be a "Nightwing" title after "Infinite Crisis." The unfortunate addendum to this was that she will not be writing it. Just last night artist Phil Hester revealed he's off the book with issue #115."
Rumors have hinted that Bruce Jones is the new writer. If that's the case, it looks like I'll be dropping yet another DC book!

Marv Wolfman Back On Titans
"Announced today at Wizard World Texas, Marv Wolfman will be co-writing some upcoming issues of Teen Titans with Geoff Johns, along with the Teen Titans Annual."
Pretty cool news! It's great that DC is recognizing Marv again.
Titans Companion Off To Print!
Here’s the solicit copy: Can you believe it's been 25 years since the New Teen Titans first hit the scene? Most notably, they were the talk of the town when Marv Wolfman and George Pérez put the teen superheroes in the path of the wrecking ball. But there's such a rich history behind the super team, any attempt at an all-inclusive history would be a daunting task for any devoted fan. But Twomorrows Publishing did the homework, and came up with The Titans Companion Volume 1 SC to help celebrated the 25th anniversary. Inside are a series of interviews with creators, a comprehensive Silver Age section, and more. Check it out in the Comics section!
Anyone who intends to buy the book is strongly encouraged to preorder a copy from their local retailer or buy it online as not every store will be carrying it. There is a link on this very page to pre-order the book from amazon.com! Also, there is a planned volume two, but only if orders and sales for volume one are high enough! So we really need your support in buying the book and spreading the word!
