Killer Mike McKone Commission
Awhile back, I commissioned Mike McKone for an original Deathstroke vs. Ravager piece. Here's the result. Needless to say, I was blown away! The detail is amazing, the artwork is tight and the inks are impressive! This image is too good not to share. It's cover-worthy! Give it a click and see the incredible amount of detail.
Is it any wonder why Mike McKone has become one of my favorite artists? Man, do I miss him on Titans! [When is that Marvel contract up??]
Evil From The East
Geoff Johns offers details on Deathstroke’s Titans East, who aim to put the hurt on the Teen Titans
By Matt Powell
Posted December 19, 2006 6:45 PM
The plot unfolds as the New York-based group of teen terrors comes aboard with a myriad of agendas. “They each have their own motivations,” says Johns. “Some are jaded, some are sadistic, sociopathic, some are getting paid, and some of it’s personal. The new character [Alter Boy] is on what he thinks is a god’s quest to exterminate Kid Devil from the face of the earth.”
If you’re evil, you can call yourself a Titan to get under a hero’s skin, but to really make it sting, take their house too! “They co-opted the old island that the old [Titans] tower was on,” says Johns.
As for the team’s leader, the word “death” is in his name, so don’t expect ’Stroke to take it easy on these kids. “Everybody’s expendable except for his son and daughter,” affirms Johns. “He doesn’t care about anyone else.”

American Titan?
by Josef Schuman, Daily Planet Contributing Reporter
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, December 14
In numbers rivaling that of reality television audition shows, hundreds of young costumed heroes gathered earlier today at the famed Titans Tower located on a small island off the coast of San Francisco in the hopes of joining the ranks of the legendary Teen Titans superhero team. Although the media was not granted access to the meeting, this reporter set up shop at a local pier, capturing bits and pieces of the recruitment drive through the voices of the people who had the most to say about it: the rejects.

Amanda Conner Rocks With Terra
The awesome Amanda Conner talks about SUPERGIRL #12, Terra and more with Newsarama.
Amanda reveals: "I had already started Terra, and I didn’t want to step on any editorial toes, but I think Eddie Berganza, Tom Palmer and Dan Didio had discussed it among themselves and asked if they could add an issue of Supergirl to my schedule while I was working on Terra, in essence, stop Terra, do the Supergirl issue, and then start Terra again. As long it was all harmonious between the editors, I was game, so it worked out.
And it’s Supergirl. Who doesn’t want to draw Supergirl?"

Arsenal to Red Arrow
DC has revealed some new JLA action figures to hit stores. Justice League of America Series 1 features Red Arrow. Yep, not Arsenal. Red Arrow. Looks like Roy is in for a name change....
It's sorta a shame. Arsenal was such a cool name. And Roy as an awesome marksman and weapons expert... well, that was a great evolution for him as a character. As Red Arrow... he's just another "arrow guy." DC sure loves their redundant families of characters with identical powers...
Anyway, each figure features multiple points of articulation and a base. Release Date : Saturday 14 July, 2007.

Cyborg & Flash in Smallville
Smallville is getting their own Justice League... sort of. Look for Vic Stone and Bart Allen - among others - to return and join forces! The special episode, "Justice", is slated to air January 18, 2007. From the fantastic kryptonsite.com...
Written & Directed By: Steve DeKnight
Guest Stars: Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Alan Ritchson (Arthur "AC" Curry/Aquaman), Kyle Gallner (Bart Allen/The Flash), Lee Thompson Young (Victor Stone/Cyborg)
UPDATED 11/24/06: The "Justice League" characters will be wearing outfits that are very reminiscent of their comic book counterparts. They will also be using code names - Oliver, of course, is the Green Arrow; A.C. is Aquaman; Victor Stone is Cyborg; but it has been hinted (in places such as writer Steve DeKnight's blog) that Bart Allen will be using a different code name "because of a DC note." Don't be surprised if Bart's new code name is a familiar one to fans of the character - something that refers to his Impulsive nature. No word yet on a name for Clark, but considering the Siegel family lawsuits, it's probably not going to be Superboy.
- Lana (Kristin Kreuk) does not appear in this episode.
UPDATED 10/30/06: Chloe meets with a Dr. Caselli to ask him what he knows about Level 33.1. We're guessing this means that 33.1 plays a role in this episode's general story.
- The Martian Manhunter will not be showing up. (See Rumorville)
- Contrary to rumors, Batman/Bruce Wayne will not be appearing in this episode.
- From the column of TV Guide's Mike Ausiello, some quotes from Alfred Gough: "Episode 11, which is our second episode back in January, is going to be called 'Justice,' and it'll basically be our first look at the Justice League. We're gonna have Green Arrow, Cyborg, Flash and Aquaman, played by Alan Ritchson, who is coming back. That's gonna be our first Justice League episode." And where exactly is Wonder Woman? "Ask Joel Silver," Gough grumbles. "He's the producer; he controls the movie rights. We'd do a whole Wonder Woman series if we had Wonder Woman, but Joss Whedon is writing the movie, so we can't have her."
Look for more images at the Comic Continuum, where they report: "The trailer including several tidbits, including Lana expressing second thoughts about her relationships with Lex and Clark and Lois apparently finding out that Oliver Queen is Green Arrow."
