A Message from Eddy Barrows

A message from Eddy Barrows, Titans artist! Please be aware that English isn't Eddy's first language (he hails from Brazil)... but you will follow his meaning (and hey, he has good taste in favorite Titans...):

Hi, guys!

I would like to thank you all for the kind words. I am glad you are liking of my work on Teen Titans. I am doing funny things on the next issues. Keep your eyes open!

Unfortunately, I wont be on TT 58. There was a delay and for don't lose the quality, the editors gave this issue to other artist. But I do back on issue 59. I will have a new inker (start on 59). I can't tell who are, but is a great guy. I love his work. I think we will be a great duo.

About Rose... I love draw her. She is able to be so female and so hunger at same time. I had to get some time to understand her and to learn how to deal with her. Now, I can say more about her.

If you would like to know more things about my work, just ask me... I would love to reply all of you.

Eddy Barrows: The Newest Titan

Newsarama reports: As the Teen Titans title started a new chapter in August with Sean McKeever taking over writing duties, the position of artist was still up for grabs. But after a hodgepodge of artists helped out with the title for the last few months, Eddy Barrows is now the title's ongoing artist as it heads into the new year.

NRAMA: Which of the Teen Titans is your favorite?

EB: Kory, Cyborg, Supergirl, and Ravager. They are my favorites, because it's fun to draw them. And they are very different from the other Titans. My favorite recent Titan to draw has to be Ravager. She’s tough, strong-willed and acts based on her instincts.

Eddy Barrows Talks Teen Titans

Sean McKeever announced on ComicBloc that the Brazilian artist, Eddy Barrows, would be the new ongoing artist for TEEN TITANS. Tarcísio of Torre Titã (think Titans Tower: Brazil) contacted Eddy for an informative and entertaining interview. Here's a portion of the interview:

TT: I’d love to see you draw a crossover of Teen Titans and the Classic Titans.

EB: I’d LOVE to draw the classics characters.

TT: Tell us how was your history with the Titans. Were you a Titans fan before you became the artist?

EB: Wow… Good question! I LOVE the Wolfman/Pérez era. This era is so important to me. Everything in that era was amazing. That’s what I want to bring to TEEN TITANS - a little of that spirit - as an artist.

TT: Which character is your favorite?

EB: Well, I love the look of Cyborg. I also like Robin (Tim) in his new style, since its similar to Batman. His gloves are great. I like Superboy too. But Starfire is my favorite, in her classic style (Pérez) (laughs).
